AFR Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen condemns desecration of Muslim graves.

During the night between Saturday and Sunday 11 – 12 February 2006 Muslim graves were desecrated by unknown perpetrators at a small village outside the Danish provincial town Esbjerg.

The Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen has issued the following statement:

“I strongly condemn this disgraceful act and I deeply regret the desecration of Muslim graves.

I have made it clear that the Danish government condemns any expression and any action, which offends people’s religious feelings.

Malicious damage to places of worship and remembrance is a criminal act, and the Danish authorities will be taking all necessary steps towards finding and bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
